This book is a crash course, meant to catapult you into a world where you start to see things how they really are, not how you think they are. The focus of this book is on logical fallacies, which loosely defined, are simply errors in reasoning. I am lost on this one. A few confusing things: 1) If the world is made up of atoms, then they must exist. No need for the middle premise. If anything, it is nonsensical or a non sequitur . 2) Atoms are not an just an abstract concept - they have a physical reality in the universe. Physical = "Something that exists in the material world, independent of our mental models, and can be detected or measured through empirical means." |
