Is this an example of double standards? From here:
Off course she ignores the differences in those cases with Trump.
First off the source she uses explicitly says:
Not only can't she read...
And from that link:
I point out that this is a double standard because she said years ago against Chelsa Manning:
Off course the fact is that the information didn't help Bin Laden in the slightest...but now that it's for a cause she hates, she loves trators...
Off course her source on this is a known liar....who defends killing children... |

Claims are constantly being made, many of which are confusing, ambiguous, too general to be of value, exaggerated, unfalsifiable, and suggest a dichotomy when no such dichotomy exists. Good critical thinking requires a thorough understanding of the claim before attempting to determine its veracity. Good communication requires the ability to make clear, precise, explicit claims, or “strong” claims. The rules of reason in this book provide the framework for obtaining this understanding and ability.
This book / online course is about the the eleven rules of reason for making and evaluating claims. Each covered in detail in the book.

I will just address the first rant (there is way too much here)... No, I don't think this is a good example of double standard . This is because there are too many differences in the situations to create a "standard." This is just typical extreme political rhetoric with the goal of "owning" the other side rather than having a serious, mature discussion about the core issues with the goal of finding solutions. |
