Marjorie Taylor Greene response after attending rally with white nationalists?

"We're not going to be deterred by journalists and Washington insiders who fear the name of Our Lord, and relentlessly attack those of us who proclaim His name. We know that Christ is our only judge,"

Keep in mind that's not all she said I just want to show the one quote she made after being asked about attending the rally. She defended herself and then said this line. Not the whole conversation.

These are just people saying stuff and not relevant to this site. Fallacies are errors in reasoning related to arguments being made.

This is just rhetoric. There's no argument nor is there an implied argument (especially given that this is just a political pitch).

Argument ad populum ? Using a popular belief such as Christianity and claiming that journalists and insiders are attacking them because they are attacking her (a Christian) for going to an event that has endorsed and is partially based on Christianity but has darker philosophies and ideologies as well. Because Christianity is a dominant religion in this country she is using it as a pawn to imply that you are attacking Christianity when attacking her for going to the event. Also can't this be an appeal to authority ? She is saying that only christ should judge her and nobody else. We arent higher powers therefore we can't judge her for this?

This fallacy occurs when someone claims something is true because a lot of people think it is true. I see nothing like that in the quote. You have to really alter what was actually said to make such an argument.

Sometimes, it is enough to simply say that people say stupid or outrageous things without trying to make them say something fallacious.

Uncomfortable Ideas: Facts don't care about feelings. Science isn't concerned about sensibilities. And reality couldn't care less about rage.

This is a book about uncomfortable ideas—the reasons we avoid them, the reasons we shouldn’t, and discussion of dozens of examples that might infuriate you, offend you, or at least make you uncomfortable.

Many of our ideas about the world are based more on feelings than facts, sensibilities than science, and rage than reality. We gravitate toward ideas that make us feel comfortable in areas such as religion, politics, philosophy, social justice, love and sex, humanity, and morality. We avoid ideas that make us feel uncomfortable. This avoidance is a largely unconscious process that affects our judgment and gets in the way of our ability to reach rational and reasonable conclusions. By understanding how our mind works in this area, we can start embracing uncomfortable ideas and be better informed, be more understanding of others, and make better decisions in all areas of life.
