LOGICAL FALLACIES EXAMPLES - WHICH ONE IS IT?

Identify the type of logical fallacy present in each statement.

1. Erik Kidlat’s run for city council was successful, therefore he is a successful politician despite his four failed runs for mayor.

2. Gudrun said she believes that the house is haunted, citing that no one has ever been able to prove that it isn’t.

3. Baldin Darell criticized the board’s pick for chair, Boris Osher, saying that Osher lacked the necessary experience. In a press conference, Osher called Darell’s criticism invalid, saying that Darell doesn’t have the necessary experience either.

4. Mayor Rena Dua said the city will be pushing for prison reform. Diana Thalia, a lobbyist for the Osborne Prison Group, criticized Dua’s statement, writing in an open letter that Mayor Dua and the city are “making a commitment to turn their backs on prisons” and that the move is a ploy to “let criminals roam your streets.”

5. Staunch anti-union writer Tia Antolios said that most people don’t join their worker’s unions, therefore unions are superfluous and unnecessary.

6. Idan Albine, a longtime supporter of Governor Willibald, said that even though the employment gains were far below the governor’s prediction, he still believes that the current plan will work because the governor himself proposed it.

7. CEO Viktor Egle said the city can either deal with current emissions violations or the plant will have to close. Egle said making the emissions standards would be too difficult, and therefore there are no other options.

8. At the same time that the company changed its logo, it was hit with a massive loss in the stock market. Some at the company insist that it was the logo change that caused the stock prices to plummet.

9. When candidate Farhan Azat called upon incumbent Paula Roul to explain her decision to withdraw support from the non-profit that had contributed to her campaign, Roul asked Azat why he had such an aggressive and disagreeable demeanor, saying it was not suitable for leadership.

10. Coal baron Grady Wilfred argued that climate change was not the result of human activity. If it were, Wilfred said, the necessary switch to green energy would lead to the death of American industry.

Yeah, when I see this question format I typically wonder whether the OP is giving us their homework.
