How?

Thanks, Bo, for answering my previous question! The information you provided intensified my desire to learn more!

As I stated before, I am a registered nurse. I have been in the medical field for 20 years. I am 42. No kids. Happily divorced. The first paragraph in the preface of Logically Fallacious spoke to me. I find myself wanting to uncover the world of truth! I am fascinated with fallacies of logic, with argument analysis and critical thinking. Thanks, Bo! I am addicted now, thanks to you, and thanks to your book, which I happened across by accident :)

I want to learn. I cannot start with the advanced concepts presented in your book, and others I've come across. I need to build a foundation.

I work three days a week as an RN. I have the hours a day I can dedicate to learning this craft, but I need to know where to start. Can you kindly recommend a few of your favorite resources (textbooks, etc.,) I can use to build my foundation, much like you did when you became interested in argument/reasoning/logic?

This book is a crash course, meant to catapult you into a world where you start to see things how they really are, not how you think they are.  The focus of this book is on logical fallacies, which loosely defined, are simply errors in reasoning.  With the reading of each page, you can make significant improvements in the way you reason and make decisions.

Hi Chad! I would suggest an introductory course on critical thinking from my friend Dr. Kevin DeLaplante: http://www.criticalthinkeracademy.com/. He has a paid course, but his videos are free on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/user/PhilosophyFreak) and he has a great podcast on iTunes.

I also took a few minutes to clean your much improved profile pic... feel free to use this on other websites as well:
