Original Question

Person 1: TikTok is a platform that mostly consists of disgusting, vile and borderline illegal content. Sure there's some funny and good content on there, but the vast majority is like the former.

Person 2: TikTok is just like any other social media platform, they have the good and the bad. Look at twitter for example, there's a lot of bad content there

Comments on Question

I concur with Dr Bo's answer, but out of curiosity, what makes you think this could qualify as a red herring?

I see nothing wrong with this exchange. Person 1 stated an opinion and person 2 stated their opinion. For this to be taken seriously as an argument, person 1 would need to provide a reason/support for the claim that "TikTok is a platform that mostly consists of disgusting, vile and borderline illegal content."
