Demographics and politics. What are the fallacies people use when describing Trumps base.

Original Question
Politics and party affiliation have demographic trends. A trend I've seen and other people as well is that a large portion of non-college-educated whites voted for Trump. A lot of them went for Obama, Kerry and Gore in the past but turned to Trump. Other demographics remained more consistent and didn't have as large of a swing from one party or another. Since a lot of non-college-educated whites swung to Trump some critics use this as an insult to show that the party is turning "white trash" and that these people because they didn't go to college are more susceptible to believing in some of the crazy and simplistic theories Trump put forth. Some critics also argue that because of their lack of college degrees they are willing to engage in more dangerous efforts ie storming the capital, brawls at rallies, and other behavior some people find despicable.
Answers
1These look like unsupported claims - in particular, 'lacking a college degree makes you more willing to engage in dangerous efforts'.
