Gun control meme.

A fine reason to remove everyone's firearms, unfortunate that the argument is total nonsense.

Along with being totally wrong, it also is an example of begging the question, the artist assumes that the audience shares his erroneous understanding of Communism rather than trying to justify it, which he cannot do because it is a bizarre conspiracy theory.

Communists do not control or seek to control the established State.  We seek to overthrow the existing State in a revolution.  The existing State cannot simply be taken over whether through elections or some kind of conspiracy, because that State is inherently Capitalist.  It must be replaced with a new Communist State by means of a revolution, anyone trying to take over the existing Capitalist State simply ends up serving Capitalism, regardless of their subjective beliefs. 

The "hysterical overreach" fallacy?  Just kidding!

Unfortunately these kind of non-sequiturs are an all too common reaction by the 2nd Amendment choir.

The "Communists!" part is irrelevant.

"Your firearms are the only thing preventing a complete takeover. That's why they want them." - Historically their is truth to that. But whether that is the reason they want to do it or not is unproven so an opinion.

As I see it, the reaction to the statement centers around a person’s outlook of whether individuals have a right to live and defend their own lives versus the collective point of view that the individual is nothing and the collective is everything. 

If the former, the guns are tools of self-defense. If the latter, then guns impede the greater good. Whether guns are the last, as distinct from some other ranking in defensive tools, is open to discussion.
