Phones are used to communicate in the modern times just as a Pigeons are used to communicate in the old times.

Life is like an Internet; just one post of humiliation, next minute it's viral.

Just as dogs retaliate to their enemies, so we must to defend ourselves.

They are all analogies. But, unfortunately, they are not very good ones. The reason for this is that there are more relevant differences between the terms forming the analogy. For instance, the communication channel used by phones nowadays is pretty different than the one used by pigeons in the "old days" to deliver their message.

Nota bene: To have a good analogy is required that the number of relevant similarities between the terms of the analogy surpasess that of relavant differences.
On the surface the pigeon analogy is quite accurate. Phones send and receive messages over the "air" waves and pigeons fly messages over the airwaves. So in that respect its the same.
I'm not really sure if you can prove dogs have enemies per say. They do , well some, dislike other dogs. Claiming the dislike is rooted in them being enemies would be a hard sell.
