1A self-sealing argument has a conclusion that cannot be refuted, no matter what - not because it is infallible but because it can avoid scrutiny.
This makes the conclusion unfalsifiable.
In this example I'd say the proposition could be considered unfalsifiable, if the person confidently asserted that elephants existed yet they could not be detected with any scientific equipment.
