Original Question

Nobody in the world today is really happy. Therefore, it seems 
that human beings are just not made for happiness.

It's a non sequitur.


Just because no one is happy at the moment, doesn't mean it is not in human nature to have happiness - nor does it mean humans cannot be truly happy. 

Always check the premises. The premise "Nobody in the world today is really happy" appears false on its face. For exampe, I'm happy and I know many other happy people.
