Original Question

MTG's Tweet:

"Vaccinated employees get a vaccination logo just like the Nazi's forced Jewish people to wear a gold star."

Would you consider this a logically sound analogy?

Comments on Question

bad analogy and False equivalence - it is not a race thing.

I think it'd be a weak analogy fallacy because one is obviously much more severe and a completely different event

I don't know what "logically sound" would mean in the context of an analogy, but I would certainly consider it an (extremely) weak analogy as well as a reductio ad hitlerum .

Greene’s analogy seems like a “false equivalent” to my reading.  Wiki describes this fallacy as:

False equivalence  is a common result when an anecdotal similarity is pointed out as equal, but the claim of equivalence does not bear scrutiny because the similarity is based on oversimplification or ignorance of additional factors...”

There may be similarities, but they are on the order of apples and oranges.

Analogies are not really "logically sound", more weak or strong.

And this one is weak; the reasons for putting logos on people who are vaccinated are completely different from those for putting symbols on Jewish people in Nazi Germany. Different context implies rationally divergent standards.
