Original Question

A bit like saying, "I don't know why you're questioning this, you're so obviously wrong, you're making yourself look stupid" with little to nothing to back it up. Or there's making out that what you're disputing isn't generally disputed.
Or just making out that people who have a different opinion just aren't educated enough and need to " read more ".

Sounds a bit like gaslighting. It is also similar to appeal to common sense .
