Trouble Identifying the Fallacies in Critical thinking HW

Historical archive only. New interaction is disabled.

Original Question

Identify and explain at least three likely fallacies in this discussion. (Assume that this school does prohibit Santa Claus posters and does permit posters of Che Guevara.)

Joe:  You socialists are trying to wipe out Christianity.

Jan:  Wipe out, like by genocide.  That's crazy.

Joe:  No, by destroying the Christian foundations of our country.

Jan.  Hey, go be as Christian as you like.  Just don’t force my kids to participate.

Joe:  Having a Santa Claus display at school is forcing them to participate?

Jan:  Well, it is if I don’t have any choice in whether my child sees it or not.

Joe:  Right, but it’s okay if my kid has to look at Che Guevara posters all day long.

Jan:  At least Che Guevara wasn’t just a Bible-thumping tea-bagger like some people I could name.

Comments on Question

Mchasewalker is correct. Also, we don't answer 'HW' (I'm guessing this means 'homework') questions.

This is all just gobbledygook nonsense and not worthy of a response. I suggest you inform yourself of the structure of syllogistic logic and try to rephrase it into something more fitting to the esteemed members of this site.
