Original Question

Is it a logical fallacy when you ask someone for evidence of a claim and they just say, "just look around you" or, "its all around you... Wake up!"

Comments on Question

An example would be:

Person 1: They are using unemployment checks to implement socialism/communism, you need to wipe out small businesses. Then nationalize big business and it’s complete!
That’s the goal!

Person 2: Have any evidence or proof of this?

Person 1: it’s all around you. Wake up.

I know this is a conspiracy theory fallacy, but I was specifically wondering about the "its all around you" response. Maybe its just gaslighting or a false claim.

It COULD be an appeal to common sense / appeal to self-evident truthbut is more likely to be a non-argument clichè.
